I thought I would show you a couple of maps so that you would know where Rebecca is right now. She is in the Guangdong province, which is in South China.

This blog will allow you to follow our journey to adopt our daughter from China.

Update!
Last night we sent a care package to Rebecca through Redthreadchina.com. When I sent it, I knew that it was possible that we could get some updated pictures and information. I just was not expecting it this morning when I opened my E-mail. I thought that the wait was terrible before we got our referral, but now it seems to be worse. We have a picture, a name, and we know where she is, we just can't go and get her yet!
We did find out that our I-800a (pre approval to adopt a baby from China) has been approved and should be on it's way to us. This of course is only one step in many that we need to take before we can go get Rebecca from China. The next set of paperwork (the I-800) will be sent as soon as we get the notice for the I-800a. We then have to wait for our paperwork to be sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) After that it gets sent to the Chinese Consulate--we then wait for something called an Article 5. That will be the last step before we get our Travel Approval (TA) from China. We then will get a (CA) Consulate Appointment--and then we can buy tickets, get on a plane and go and get her. (This is obviously the summarized version of all the steps that we need to take--but you get the idea:-)
In our update we found out that Rebecca weighs 17 lbs. She is 29 inches tall, she has 8 teeth and she is standing on her own (we are not sure if she is walking yet--but I am sure that if she isn't, she will be by the time we get her!) Here are her pictures!

Pictures!!
On Wednesday we mailed off our LOA (Letter of Acceptance) which makes her one step closer to coming home with us. We also sent our I-800a (pre-approval for immigration) They have promised to expedite our case, so I am hoping that that is true. We have a lot of steps and hoops to jump through before we can actually go get her.
But here she is!
We are already in love with those big brown eyes, and the rest of her too:-)
I am all packed and ready for Germany. At least this trip will help to pass the time (at least for the next 9 days!)
